The Athenians believed they had originated from the soil of their homeland and were different than other peoples. Paul pointed to the common ancestor (Adam) and indicated that the times and boundaries of peoples are in God’s hands. To this point the Greeks would have had little difficulty following Paul and would have found a good bit of agreement in what he said.
